The Key: EpliogueWhen Sean and Carly got home, their parents were so worried that they had been killed that no punishment was inflicted. This was good, because the next day Sean marched up to Mike’s house and told him to back off. Surprisingly, he listened. Sean never had bullying problems again. The invasion and attempted Consumption of Earth by the darkness was considered some sort of freak-meteor that covered the sky across the whole world with dust, turning the sun red and forcing people into a panic that made them see things. When Sean and Carly heard this on the news, they pretended to go along with it, not wanting to end up in some sort ofThe Key: Epliogue


The Key: Chapter 11This couldn’t be the planet Sean had left a couple of days ago. His Earth was green, with birds chirping, a bright blue sky during the day, a velvety-blue one at night, littered with little stars. Animals and people, chattering all the time, were on the streets, in the trees, and even in the sky. This was in no way like that world. All he heard was endless screaming, echoing off of the bare rocks that had replaced lush grass. The light of evil fire glared at him on all sides. The only thing that remained untouched was the tree behind him, and the sun in the sky. Even the sun was starting to give into the terrible darknThe Key: Chapter 11


The Key: Chapter 10Sean missed Carly’s graduation. He wasn’t home that night. She lied to her parents. She said that she saw her brother there, and that he left early. When he didn’t get home that night, she said not to worry. He was just at a friend’s house. She didn’t know any of his friends, so she just used a name that she knew well. “He’s at Chris’s house,” she said. She regretted it immediately. Her parents didn’t like the name Chris from Sean’s first bullying incident. Chris had put his pet tarantula down Sean’s back. “It’s not that Chris.
